Earlier this year we asked for your support on two projects to help New Life Foundation become more self sufficient organization. The two projects, a chicken farm and a bakery will help sustain the student and provide an on-going source of food and income. This is an update of the progress made since the last newsletter. Thank you so much for your prayers, support and generous gifts in support of these projects.
Poultry Project
We have been able to raise all the funds ($5,000) necessary to allow NLF to proceed with the Poultry project. Thank you for your generous donations for this project! As of the middle of November the school has been able to construct the buildings and associated facilities for the poultry. The school has made arrangements to order its first group of breeder chicks.
We will keep you advised as they receive these chicks and are able to begin production.
Bakery Project
NFL has not yet started with building the facilities for the bakery, waiting until the necessary funds are received. Our giving goal for this project is $22,500.00, which represents 73% of the total funds needed (the balance being provided by the school and local donors). As of November 26, we have received $6,650.00 (30% of our goal). We encourage you to continue to remember this project and its needs, particularly as you consider Christmas giving opportunities this year.
